Adventure, nature, and purpose every visit supports conservation
At Prawns Lake, every experience is designed to connect you with nature while directly supporting the community and ecosystem. Your visit funds restoration, creates jobs, and spreads the message that conservation can be beautiful, exciting, and deeply meaningful.

Glide through serene mangrove channels on a guided kayaking adventure. Watch crabs scuttle along the roots, spot kingfishers and herons overhead, and feel the cool shade of the forest canopy. Our eco-guides share stories of the creek, the community, and the conservation work that keeps this ecosystem alive. Suitable for all skill levels — no experience needed.

There is nothing quite like a Watamu sunset over the mangroves. As the sky shifts from gold to amber to deep rose, the creek becomes a mirror of the heavens. Our sunset experience includes a leisurely boat ride or a peaceful shoreside gathering with refreshments.
Year-round, but June–October offers the calmest waters and clearest skies. Birdwatching is best during migration season (March–May).
Sunscreen, a hat, comfortable clothes that can get wet, closed-toe shoes, and a reusable water bottle. Life jackets are provided.
